Tossin' The Rag
Tossin’ the Rag is a performance that addresses the social schisms set in place through gender representation in mass media and the need to readdress these, especially in the redefinition of a realistic Black male. The piece is based on the Goya painting Straw Mannequin.
Date:
Saturday, October 6 from 4:30-7:30pm, beginning at the east end of 14th Street and moving west to Union Square Park.
Location:
Sunday, October 7 from 12-3pm, beginning in Union Square Park and moving along 14th Street to end at the west end of the street.
