Dylan Mortimer / Safety Robes
This performance involves several participants wearing choir robes made of brightly colored material used by safety workers. The performers will stand near intersections of heavy foot traffic and perform in poses that could be read as directing traffic or giving a sort of prayerful/meditative blessing - referencing a concern for physical safety as a traffic controller would do, but also referencing a spiritual or psychological well being.

Date:

Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6 from 12-5pm

Location:

The performance will travel along 14th Street, with stops at Union Square, Our Lady of Guadelupe (328 W 14th Street), and the Church of the Immaculate Conception (406 E 14th Street).
