Amy Kaps /
Victus Versus AKA Living Stripes
Wrapped in black and white striped spandex, the artist performs a carefully choreographed work. The cadence of the cloth camouflages the figure; the graphic nature of the stripes accentuates the profile acting as a puzzling interruption to the landscape. Flowing or static, the elastic nature allows for infinite iterations enveloping, wrapping, and cloaking the human body affecting a living sculpture.
Date:
Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6 from midday until sunset
Location:
On the first day, the performance will begin and end in Union Square, moving to and from Avenue C along 14th Street. On the second day, the performance will begin and end in Union Square, moving to and from the Hudson River along 14th Street.
