Nuria Montiel / Walking Words
Serving as a reflection on the misuse of the human body in street publicity, for this interactive work, pedestrians are invited to print personalized phrases by walking on large letters or "stamps" placed under their feet. The resulting prints will be pasted on the walls as a graphic intervention of 14th Street.

Born in Mexico in 1982, Nuria Montiel’s work involves social practice and community participation in public spaces using a print as communications means. She co-founded, with Abraham Cruzvillegas, La Galería de Comercio, a non-profit initiative that presents public art projects on the street . At the moment she is an artist in residence at ISCP.
