Emil Alzamora / Retrograde
“Retrograde,” a life-size spaceman constructed of lightweight foam, resin, and steel will be installed securely into the limbs of a tree for the duration of the festival. As it quietly dangles, the figure discreetly surprises passersby. The work stands as a subtle statement about humankind’s fallible effort to transcend its natural limitations.

Date:

October 5-15

Location:

The piece will be installed in a tree in front of Chickpea, 210 E 14th Street.
