Pleased to Meet Me - A Broad Spectrum Narcissistic Experience
An installation of three colored reflective panels that allow passersby to examine, reflect, and adore their own reflection through three different filters. The panels serve as a contemporary urban device in lieu of Narcissus’ pool of water. These personal vitrines echo our times of social media where we become our own critics, paparazzi, and publicists; where for a short moment, egoism, conceit, and vanity is encouraged in public.
Date:
October 5-15
Location:
The installation will be in the window of 567 Framing, 145 W 14th Street.
