A Movement in Time: Alphabet City
A perfomative sequence of body movements and monologues will take place along 14th Street, inspired by the physical movement of pedestrians in Alphabet City. Responding to the site-specific cultural traditions, political history and social environment, the performance summons the narratives of early hip-hop culture.
Date:
Friday, October 5 from 5-6pm and Saturday, October 13 from 6-7pm
Location:
On 14th Street between Avenues B and C on Friday, and between Avenues A and B on Saturday.
