Bagkú!
Bagkú! is a performance. Partly improvisational and site-specific, it involves both a previously written haiku and the spontaneous composition of new haiku inspired by interactions with the audience, passersby, and customers outside a bodega.
Date:
Saturday, October 6 from 4:30-6:30pm.
Location:
The performance will start at the southwest corner of Loisaida Avenue (Avenue C) and 14th Street, and conclude in front of Brothers Candy & Grocery, 542 E 14th Street.

Urayoán Noel is a Bronx-based Puerto Rican poet, performer, and critic. His works include four books of poetry, a spoken word/music CD and DVD, and multimedia/multilingual performances presented nationally and internationally. He is a recent fellow of the Bronx Council on the Arts and the Ford Foundation, and teaches at SUNY-Albany.
