The Kewpie Series: A New Model for a Cold War
Mixing performance and installation, A New Model for a Cold War is a mobile video installation on wheels that will be pushed along the perimeter of Union Square. The videos juxtapose Kewpie doll imagery with Cold War spy signals, asking viewers to reflect on the consequences of war. The Kewpie Series aims to move video art off of the computer monitor and bring it directly to the public.
Date:
October 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 15 from 7-10pm daily
Location:
The artist will walk the perimeter of Union Square Park, then move along 14th Street to Seventh Avenue.
